Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 4 is available with more than 1000 fixes and tweaks

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 4 is now available. The update includes more than 1,000 content fixes, tweaks, and modifications, once again breaking the Steam Store character limit. The update also adds assistance for color-blind people and allows players to customize their appearance when recruiting mercenaries! Phelan's version of "Home Makeover" will no longer exist.

This update adds a setting in the Accessibility TAB that allows players to choose between being red, green, or blue color blind. This setting will cover the character's outline and foot circles, map markers, battle order avatar, and team avatar. Officials hope that these changes will make it easier for players to distinguish between friends and enemies, and will come in handy in combat. The official also said that it will continue to work on further fixes and feature updates, and players are welcome to contact the support team if they have any issues.

Highlight moment

Even if the character is dead, the player can still move it into the keeper's friendship seal (hereinafter the closet), and the keeper will explain how the closet works.

Players can now customize the appearance of mercenaries when recruiting them.

Game play

Updated the Dead talk mechanic, in the new mechanic, if the player does not ask any questions the first time, then the player can cast a valid dead talk against the same target again. (For example, the first time the player casts a spell, he is told that the dead man does not want to talk to his killer, and then the player changes into wilderness form and does it again.)

At Level 6, Knowledge Domain Priests now correctly acquire "Guiding Power: Mind Reading", Nature Domain Priests now correctly acquire "Restraining Element", and Magic Domain Priests now correctly acquire "Guiding Power: Shadow Cloak".

When you buy a statue from Boni at the circus, you can now choose to look fully armed, in camp clothes, or naked.

The scratching ball will now be harder to lose. If a player loses his ball, go to the camp and find him, he may return it. (Ball insurance is not effective for fissure related accidents)

Added a joystick option to set the end turn key to long press instead of click if desired.

Fixed an issue where Enemy of Justice status would take effect when it should not.

Fixed an issue where intimidating someone in hiding when there are civilians nearby would cause guards to discover the player and start a conversation.

Halsin will no longer think it's fun to be a bear when he talks to the player in Chapter 1.

Added more auto-save points for Shadow Curse, parts of the Dragon Pass area, and Lower Town, including the Steel Guard Foundry,

The Iron Throne and Rivington.

Chomping on spider meat at Shar's testing grounds is likely to make players sick. Should've listened to Gail more.

Players can now read recipes for the monarch's favorite soup.

Players can now clean team members with sponges and soap to remove dirt, blood, and odors!

Battle

Cazador remembered that he could rise as smoke, so that when he fell into the crevasse he would not die again.

Fixed an unusual issue where enemies could not do anything in battle except sprint and move.

Fixed an issue where some NPCS could shoot through the floor and ceiling. They promised a fair fight.

When Minsk learned of the link between Evil and Gotash, new dialogue options were added for him.

Now if Melina decides to destroy the witch wand in Act 3, Connor will disappear. If he is revived with a wand, the player can also talk to him.

Jena can now return to camp correctly after her companions have been kidnapped.

If the player doesn't make a deal with Rafael, Gayle shouldn't be complaining about it anymore.

ART

Changed the color of the mind reading potion to distinguish it from the healing potion.

ANIMATIONS

Added some new camp idle moves and actions for Minsara, Harsin, Shadowheart, and Leezel.

Kara feels more alive now just standing around the camp.

UI

Players can now customize which solution to select in the second slot of the Alchemy interface.

Added a map marker that can be used when the character wants to talk to the player.

Added a unique map icon for the Mirror and the Tomb Keeper's friendship seal.

Improved the Skills section of the character Details interface: Added ICONS for individual skills, added asterisks to indicate mastery and expertise in certain skills, and improved skill tips.

Battle turns in battle logs are now displayed under separate headings, so it's easier to distinguish when things happened.
