As is well known, on the day of the release and download of Final Fantasy Origins, there was an uproar and the game could not be started no matter how it was played.

After the official fix, the visuals we see when opening the game are not as beautiful as described at the beginning, but rather the visuals of the PS3. The map of Mangcao is particularly frightening.

A combat system that combines risk and reward

The basic operations of the game are not complicated. The break damage of R1 regular attacks is very small, and it is often impossible to clear the break slot even when the health is depleted.

  • Action skills require MP consumption.
  • Using "Soul Shield" can restore MP.

The so-called "Soul Shield" is an anti reverse operation after pressing 0. After successfully launching it, players can bounce off the enemy's attack and make it appear stiff. When using Soul Shield, you need to consume a Break slot, but in addition to the MP recovery and hard effects mentioned above, there is also an effect of reducing enemy Break slots. Through this move, players can create more attack opportunities while restoring MP to use action skills to break enemies faster.

By the way, in the early stages of the game, there were only 2 MP slots, but after Break, "Soul Burst" also had the effect of restoring MP and increasing the MP limit. So as long as you actively use Soul Shield, Break, and Soul Burst, you can make the battle increasingly beneficial to yourself.

I didn't grasp the meaning of "Soul Shield" from the beginning, but after learning it, the whole game became relaxed and enjoyable.

Easy and enjoyable, teaching you how to be a good person

What's even more interesting is that some moves of miscellaneous soldiers and even bosses can be used as "instant skills" for their own use after being defended with Soul Shield. It's like a fireball from a bomb monster, and after throwing it back, it can directly trigger a self explosion. In close combat, it's difficult to defeat and I happily eliminate it in minutes.

For example, if the boss has a weak fire in the second state, we can also collect its fireballs in the first stage and return them to him in the second stage.

Of course, the Soul Shield is so useful that it won't come at any cost. Every time you use it, you need to consume the Break slot. Basically, if the timing is not appropriate, the Break slot will run out after 5 attempts, and when attacked again, it will fall into a hard spot and become a live target.

But it's okay, after all, we are warriors of light. Just press L2+0 and use "Illumination". In this state, the Break slot will not be consumed, and the damage caused by attacks will also increase. It can also reduce the enemy's Break slot limit. Even when facing a boss, it can create an advantage. When the state is over and the Break slot is full, Jack will be a hero again.

3 weapons, 6 professions, and more to explore

There are 3 weapons, 3 basic professions and 3 advanced professions to choose from in the game, which is quite rich in awesome in terms of the experience version.

Each profession in the game has its own unique "action skills", and the corresponding professions for the Great Sword are the Great Swordsman and Warrior. Most moves are range attacks, which are relatively more suitable for group battles. I believe that players who have played the experience version will also be like me, liking to use the R2 rotation of the Great Swordsman, even in melee, they can open up gaps in one go. And the warrior's "roar" can also instantly shake off the enemy and help the player escape from the surrounded situation.

The spear sorcerer and dragon knight corresponding to the spear are more suitable for individual combat, although the attack range is small, the distance is slightly longer. The Gun Warlock has the only long-range attack method for melee weapons in the experience version, which is "throwing the gun".
