In a recent interview with "Neil Artificial Life ver. 1.22474487139..." on Famiton, Taro Yoko also mentioned that when he was making "Neil Disguiser," he felt that he didn't need a Weapon Story, so he didn't add it to the game. It wasn't until after the game was released that players strongly demanded it, and finally included this part of the story in "GRIMOIRE NieR" (full guide+settings dataset).

Nowadays, this form is no longer just cold words, but is dynamically expressed through the narrative style of a scroll. It turned out to be just a small element in the game that was even abandoned, but after being refined, it became the protagonist.

A big story sets a small story

Although the above form can be considered as the utilization of old objects, the effect is really good, especially the first three chapters are very commendable.

Firstly, the narrative in the form of a scroll, although very simple, combined with voice, narration, and a very good level of BGM, the most basic experience has achieved a relatively excellent level.

Secondly, there is the story itself. Although everyone understands Taro Yoko's urinary nature, the story is definitely sad, but each small story creates the illusion that "I understand everything" for players, and then overturns the previous illusion and gives a surprise. Moreover, the first three chapters of the story are intertwined and seemingly unrelated, but in reality, they are closely related, making me feel that there is no pressure to create a small-scale single player game after supplementing these contents.

It is worth mentioning that on the basis of these small stories, there is also a main storyline where the little girl and "Ma Ma" search for memories together. However, the game also includes attribute restraint and skill equipment that can affect agility (each character has a fixed agility of 1000), so you can "skillfully" win against enemies who are much stronger than you through the above methods. This is one of the few combat pleasures besides data crushing.

During automatic combat, it is normal for skills to be randomly placed and targets to be randomly hit, so the overall actual combat power of the team is only about 70% of normal. However, Neil Rebirth does not yet use character skills and pet skills on this basis. These are two major moves, but they cannot be used. If you encounter a narrowly defeated enemy, you will definitely lose.

So if you want to play the following content faster, then liver is essential. However, the problem arises again, as players without classes may lose their stamina after a little extra effort.

Firstly, the stamina slot in this game is different from some mobile games. At the beginning, the upper limit is only 50. After each level increase, the player returns to full stamina and the upper limit is increased by one.

But before that? The game restores some stamina every three minutes, and one hour is 20 points. By conversion, a good child who sleeps for 8 hours at night will gain 160 points of stamina, which is about three times the initial limit... Once their stamina exceeds the limit, they will not recover, unless they are practicing immortality tirelessly. Otherwise, it is inevitable to waste their stamina recklessly in the early stages of the game.

Of course, there are shooting games in the game that can quickly improve the player's level, but they can only be played once every 8 hours, and the experience given to players is also insignificant after their level exceeds 60.

Secondly, the physical exertion of the game is very fast. For example, this game has a limit of 4 times per day, with a large number of instances dropping a certain weapon enhancement material for half an hour each time. To improve combat effectiveness, playing this instance is essential. The maximum difficulty of a dungeon is 35 points of stamina. Assuming the player is strong enough to kill the level of the dungeon boss a few times, it will take about one minute to complete each dungeon. 30 minutes is 30 dungeons, which means 35 x 30=1050 points of stamina. It takes about 4200 points of stamina to play this "dog food" dungeon alone in a day.

There are 5 ways for this game to restore extra stamina:

  1. Player level increases and restores 100% stamina.
  2. Explore (shooting game), score 130000 points and gain around 50 points of stamina.
  3. Add friends, help/be helped by friends every day to gain 1 point of stamina, with a maximum of 100 friends, which is 200 points.
  4. 100 course gold gems restore 100% stamina.
  5. Use medication to restore. Small recovery medicine+10 points, medium recovery medicine+50%, and large recovery medicine+100% stamina.

Apart from course fees, only potions can quickly and massively restore physical strength, while medium recovery pills are not as cost-effective as small recovery pills before physical strength exceeds 150. It is relatively difficult to obtain large recovery pills, so brushing mainly consumes small recovery pills. In this way, a daily "dog food notebook" requires 420 bottles of small recovery medicine.

So how many small reply pills can we get? Log in to 30 bottles and store 20 bottles every day, exchange 200 bottles for the Crazy Nest linked dungeon (one-time), and exchange 500 bottles for the medal exchange store (refreshed every month). It's not enough... only course gold is available.

What was the experience of class?

Speaking of course fees, like most card games, this game costs 1 gem and 1 yen.

However, the gift packages originally intended to bring discounts to players are not very good. For example, the most expensive 10000 yen gift package in the game includes 10000 gemstones, 1 Supreme Certificate, 1 Black Pearl, and 60000 gold coins. The highest certificate is used to upgrade the final stage skills of weapons, and there are four skills for weapons; Black pearls are used for breaking through the limits of weapons, which have four stages. The content of other gift packages is similar, which is equivalent to buying gemstones and giving a small amount of strengthening items. At most, it is used to check for gaps and make up for them, and the key is to rely on the player to brush them themselves.

A more cost-effective option is the "task gift package" priced at 2940 yen, but what's more frustrating is that this gift package requires players to complete the task again to unlock rewards, which still cannot be achieved without brushing. But except for the "level task gift package" which will give 60 bottles of large recovery medicine, other gift packages do not include stamina medicine. Players with limited stamina seem to have purchased a cost-effective gift package and will return to their "liver" state.

Of course, players can also continue to play endlessly by restoring 100% stamina through 100 gems of course gold, but the funny thing is that before the stamina limit exceeds 200, spending gems to refresh the store (increasing the required gems by 10, 30, 50, etc. each time) to purchase 20 bottles of small recovery medicine is more cost-effective


Neil's Rebirth is still constantly being updated, as evidenced by the two events that have been updated since the game's launch. The resources required to cultivate characters in this game are extremely extensive, and even those who have paid tuition fees have to return to the rhythm of brushing when the power of tuition fees is minimal in the later stages.

Fortunately, the plot of this game is quite good. Although it is tiring to brush various things, after strengthening the character, looking at the main storyline, true darkness, and personal storyline of the character is also a driving force.

Before the release of "Neil Artificial Life Ver. 1.22474487139...", if you have plenty of time, why not leisurely brush through the main storyline to pass the time.

But if you want to play all the content of the game without paying any fees, it's better to think twice before acting. Otherwise, you may be like me, about to be played to death.
